(KRON) -- Four teenage girls were arrested on Wednesday for assault at the Lake Merritt BART station in Oakland, BART police said. The four teens were taken into custody at 6:59 p.m. and later booked into the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center.
Three suspects are 15 years old and the other is 16. BART police said the 16-year-old and one of the 15-year-olds were also charged with robbery.
It is unknown what the status of the victim(s) is. None of the four teens had valid fare, according to BART.
The suspects were not identified as they are minors. BART police did not release any further details about the assault.
