ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A 31-year-old man was arrested last week and charged with murder in connection with an overdose death that happened at a Round Rock home in July.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Caleb Anthony Toledo, 31, of Pflugerville, was arrested last Thursday and charged with murder. He was booked in the Williamson County jail on Friday, where he is being held on a $250,000 bond.

No attorney information was listed for Toledo at the time of this story's publication, but if that information becomes available, KXAN will reach out to request a comment on the charge.

A press release from the U.S. Marshals said the Round Rock Police Department conducted a homicide investigation and learned Toledo had been in communication with the overdose victim and sold him fentanyl and Xanax on July 21.

The victim was found dead at his home on Lord Byron Circle the next day, according to the release.

Round Rock detectives on Nov. 20 obtained a warrant for arrest charging Toledo with murder and requested assistance from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) in the Austin Division.

Members of the LSFTF initiated a fugitive investigation and learned that Toledo was living at a nearby hotel in the 2500 block of Dell Way in Round Rock. He tried to flee on foot from members of the task force before he was apprehended, the release said.
