3 saved from fire near University of Denver campus, arson investigators called to scene
The Denver Fire Department responded to a house fire on Franklin Street in Denver on Wednesday evening and said three people were pulled from the structure.

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Fire Department responded to a house fire on Franklin Street in Denver on Wednesday evening and said three people were pulled from the structure.
The fire department reported seeing heavy smoke showing from the fire when crews arrived on scene at about 9:15 p.m. The agency also reported heavy fire in the basement and hoarding conditions in the basement as well.
The agency reported at about 9:25 p.m. that three people were pulled from the home and they were being medically evaluated. There was no update from officials on their condition.
Neighbors told FOX31's Hanna Powers that the three people taken from the home were evaluated, but it did not appear that the injuries were serious.
The blaze was reported to be under control as of 9:40 p.m., and crews were still on scene an hour later. The agency said at about the same time on X that arson investigators would be handling the matter.
