24 music festivals coming to Southern California in 2025

Southern California is gearing up for another epic year of music festivals, with something for every taste and vibe. From the high-energy, global hip-hop festival Rolling Loud to the legendary Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, home to the biggest party in the desert, the region will offer an exciting blend of genres, from country and reggae to electronic and rock.

In 2024, Southern California’s music scene faced significant setbacks with the cancellation of several anticipated festivals.

Desert Daze, renowned for its eclectic lineups and immersive experiences, was canceled due to rising production costs and a volatile festival market. Bésame Mucho, a celebration of Latin music, was also called off. And Lovers & Friends, a festival celebrating early 2000s hip-hop and R&B, faced cancellation due to potentially dangerous weather conditions, prioritizing attendee safety.

Despite these challenges, 2025 promises a resurgence of live music events in the region.

Whether you’re seeking immersive experiences at Escape Halloween or ready to dance the night away at Skyline Festival, Southern California’s festival scene is poised to bounce back with exciting new lineups and performances across all genres.

Here’s a look at the music festivals coming to Southern California in 2025 so far.

January

ALTer EGO Fest

Now in its eighth year, the Los Angeles-based alternative rock station ALT/FM 98.7 is bringing back its annual iHeartRadio ALTer EGO Festival, hosted by the station’s “The Woody Show” morning crew. It will include performances by Cage The Elephant, Fontaines D.C., Glass Animals, Incubus, St. Vincent, The Lumineers, The Head And The Heart and The Offspring, with a special solo performance from Damiano David of Måneskin.

Calibash

The Southern California Latin annual radio fest hosted by Mega/FM 96.3 and LaMusica will host performances this year by Maluma, Wisin, Xavi, Manuel Turizo, Emilia, and Kapo.

February

Skyline Festival 

Insomniac Events’ techno brand Factory 93 and house music counterpart Day Trip, are once again joining forces to bring the two genres together. The lineup is boasted to have sets by The Martinez Brothers, Cloonee, Marco Carola, BLOND:ISH, Honey Dijon B2B Seth Troxler, Nico Moreno, Alex Wann, Malóne, Matisa, Milushka and more.

March

CRSSD Festival 

The two-day electronic, house and techno festival is raving its way back to San Diego. The lineup includes Fisher, Justice, Flight Facilities, Hayden James, Poolside, Chris Lorenzo, Claptone, Jungle, Ben UFO, Artbat, among others with more artists to be announced.

Boots in the Park Norco 

Boots in the Park is gearing up to take over Norco in 2025, headlined by the legendary Brooks & Dunn. Joining the duo are Parker McCollum, Jackson Dean, Rodney Atkins, Owen Riegling, Bryce Leatherwood, Joe Peters, and DJ Luwiss Lux.

When: March 8

Rolling Loud 

The globally renowned Rolling Loud festival is set to make its highly anticipated return to Inglewood at Hollywood Park, right next to SoFi Stadium. While the 2025 lineup is still under wraps, last year’s event featured a roster of hip-hop heavyweights, including Nicki Minaj, Rae Sremmurd, Sexxy Red, YG & Tyga, Post Malone, Suicideboys, Summer Walker, Big Sean, Bones, Flo Milli, Future x Metro Boomin, Don Toliver, and Chief Keef.

Beyond Wonderland 

One of Insomniac Events’ most iconic festivals is making its way back to its home base at the NOS Events Center, bringing along its signature Mad Tea Party theme. While the lineup for this year hasn’t been disclosed yet, last year’s edition featured sets from artists like Alan Walker, AC Slater, Borgore, San Holo, Slushii, and more.

When: March 28-29

April

Boots in the Park San Diego 

Old Dominion will appear as the headliner for the San Diego edition of the single-day Boots in the Park festival with support from Chris Young, Tyler Hubbard, Parmalee, Tayler Holder, Presley Tennant and DJ Luwiss Lux.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival

The desert’s biggest party is back for 2025, returning to the Empire Polo Club in Indio. This year’s headliners include Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. Charli XCX, FKA twigs, Clairo, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Mustard, Tyla, Japanese Breakfast and more are joining them.

When: April 11-13 and April 18-20

Stagecoach Country Music Festival

The annual three-day Coachella country music sister fest will be headlined Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs. Other performances include Lana Del Rey, Shaboozey, Ashley McBryde, Sturgill Simpson, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce and more.

When: April 25-27

Starbase

Slander, the DJ duo of Derek Andersen and Scott Land, is bringing their electronic music festival back, featuring acts like Space Laces, Trivecta, Wavedash, William Black, Pauline Herr, Au5, and SVDDEN DEATH’s VOYD, along with nearly 40 other top dubstep, trap, and bass producers. Originally announced in May 2021, the festival was postponed due to COVID-19 but is now making its long-awaited debut.

When: April 25-26

BeachLife Festival 

The three-day BeachLife Festival is set to return to the shores of Redondo Beach, celebrating rock, Americana, and reggae. Fans can enjoy the popular SpeakEasy stage for intimate, stripped-down performances, along with two main stages offering nonstop music throughout the day. While the lineup hasn’t been announced yet, it’s expected to be revealed soon.

Just Like Heaven 

The indie music festival that celebrates the music of the early ’00s will be back at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but last year’s roster included The Postal Service, Phoenix, Death Cab For Cutie, Passion Pit, Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club and more.

Joshua Tree Music Festival

The Joshua Tree Music Festival, a family-friendly bi-annual event in the Mojave Desert, combines live music with wellness. Alongside an eclectic lineup, attendees can enjoy yoga classes and wellness workshops throughout the four-day festival.

Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival 

The Waterfront Music & Arts Festival returns to San Diego. The lineup has not yet been announced, but organizers share that the three-day event will feature new activations, more entrance and will call lines, new general admission plus passes, and the electric lounge being expanded.

Cruel World 

Goldenvoice’s Cruel World Festival is returning to Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena with Duran Duran, Interpol, Blondie, Simple Minds, Placebo, Soft Cell, Adam Ant and more.

Newport Beach Jazz Festival 

The three-day jazz festival will feature classic and upcoming jazz artists for its 29th edition. The full lineup will be announced in the coming months, so make sure to check its website for updates.

La Onda

The all Latin-music two-day festival is returning for the second year at the Napa Valley Expo with performances by Marco Antonio Solis, Banda MS, Pepe Aguilar, Carin Leon, Grupo Firme, Xavi, Oscar Maydon, La Receta, Sonora Tropicana, Los Aptos and more.

When: May 31-June 1

Cali Vibes 

The two-day reggae, rock and hip-hop music festival is set to return to Marina Green Park in Long Beach. Although the lineup has yet to be announced, the last event included performances by Gwen Stefani, Rebelution and Sublime With Rome, Sean Paul, Sojo, Skip Marley, Action Bronson and The Pharcyde.

When: June 7-8

Reggae On The Mountain 

Reggae On The Mountain returns to the scenic mountains of Topanga for a one-day celebration of reggae, love, and unity. The 2025 lineup has not yet been announced, but past artists have included Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Toots & the Maytals, and more.

When: July 26

Warped Tour Long Beach 

Calling all millennial emos and punk lovers, grab your Vans or Converse because Warped Tour is officially returning in 2025. Although the lineup is yet to be announced, the fest has a legacy of hosting artists such as Blink-182, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy, NOFX, Green Day, The Used, Paramore, Good Charlotte, Sum 41 and more.

When: July 26-27

Where: Downtown Long Beach Shoreline Waterfront

September

Same Same But Different

The three-day waterfront music, art and wellness festival is returning to Lake Perris. The lineup has yet to be set, but fans can expect electronic DJs, funk and indie acts in the mix.

October

Off The Grid Campout 

Off The Grid Campout, one of SoCal’s most beloved grassroots underground festivals, offers 76+ nonstop hours of house, techno, drum and bass, and more. Focusing on community building and rising talent, the festival also features art cars, interactive installations, comedy sets, fire performances, a healing sanctuary, food vendors, a marketplace, workshops, yoga and more.

Escape Halloween 

Insomniac’s Escape Halloween returns with its signature immersive production, spooky-themed activations, and elaborate stages. The two-day lineup will be revealed in the new year.
