Two people died in Travis County on Sunday morning following a head-on collision on US-183.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people died in Travis County on Sunday morning following a head-on collision on US-183.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, medics responded to a vehicle rescue at 5:28 a.m. in the 9800 block of South US-183.
ATCEMS said two vehicles were involved in the crash, and two adult patients were pronounced dead at the scene after resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, all lanes of US-183 in both directions near FM 973 were closed due to the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
