Two court officers were slashed by an apparently emotionally disturbed man inside Manhattan Criminal Court Monday morning, police said.
A third officer was hurt when he was slammed into a barrier trying to stop the attacker from barging into the courthouse at 100 Centre St. about 9:30 a.m.
The assailant got past that officer and made his way to the fourth floor, where he slashed one court officer in the face and the other in the neck, cops said.
The officers are not believed to be badly hurt. The attacker was quickly taken into custody with charges against him pending.
It was not immediately clear if the suspect had a court date Monday or why he lashed out, police said.
