A recent hacking attempt was carried out on the personal wallet of XRP (XRP) co-founder Chris Larson. The hacking attempt resulted in over $100 million worth of XRP tokens moved from his wallet to other crypto addresses scattered across several exchanges. As a result, XRP price saw a further decline, having already been on a 20% bear trend within the last month.
In response to the development, Chris Larson tweeted to reassure XRP holders that their portfolios are safe as the breach was only on his personal wallet, as against earlier reports. Also, the XRP trading volume has dipped following the development.
Solana (SOL) Resurges Following Decline from All-year Price Peak
Toward the end of December, Solana (SOL) reached an all-year price peak of $113. However, Solana has seen a price decline to go below the $100 mark, as per data from CoinMarketCap. While the bear trend of Solana was raging in mid-January, the token is now on a price resurgence, having gained 7% in the last week.
