TOWSON, Md. (WDCW) -- Maryland police are investigating a mass shooting at a funeral home that left one person dead and multiple people injured Tuesday evening.
The Baltimore County Police Department (BCPD) said the shooting happened at a funeral home in Towson around 7:15 p.m.
During a news conference, BCPD Police Chief Robert McCullough said nine people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
"This is considered a mass shooting," officials with the police department wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
