(KRON) -- One person died on Monday after a boat capsized near Bodega Bay, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KRON4. The incident comes two weeks after two other boats capsized in the area, both of which were fatal.
The boat capsized in the ocean near Salmon Creek, which is near Bodega Bay. Five people were in the boat, four of whom survived and were hospitalized.
The call came into the sheriff's office at 1:45 p.m. The people in the water were seen waving bright objects to get people's attention.
Two other boats capsized in Bodega Bay in separate incidents on Nov. 3 and 4. Bodega Bay is on the Pacific coast of Sonoma County, west of Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, officials said.
